Sierra Vista School has closed

Though Sierra Vista closed at the end of the 2011 school year, we'd love to help families get enrolled at one of Vacaville Unified's other elementary schools. The 2011-2012 school year starts August 18.

Use the School Area Locator web site to see the attendance areas of all VUSD schools, or call the Vacaville Unified District Office at 453-6100 during business hours through the summer for questions about attendance areas.

Proof of residence in the form of a PG&E or cable bill is required for all new students. In addition, new kindergarten registrations must include the following:

  • birth certificate (children must be five years by December 2, 2011.)
  • immunization record
  • proof of a physical exam after your child was 4 years, 3 months old or written proof of an appointment for an exam
  • proof of a dental exam done within the year prior to registration. Proof of a dental exam must be supplied to the school by May 31, 2012.


As per a new state law, all students entering grades 7-12 next year will need proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster (TDAP shot) before starting the 2011-2012 school year. In future school years, students in grade 7 will need proof of the TDAP shot before starting school

Students who do not show proof of receiving a TDAP booster after the age of 7 will not be able to start school until proof is provided to the school. The tetanus-diphtheria booster shot, Td, will not meet the requirement.
